Oddjectives
Lead by Ryan Murphy, this project aims to take circus skills away from their usual sense of spectacle. Exploring both circus equipment in unusually ways and everyday objects with circus technique, we aim to remove the display of skill that exists solely for the sake of the display alone.
This collaboration was made possible through Arts Council England's International Artistic Development Fund, connecting artists in France, Spain, Slovenia and England. It uses a shared vocabulary based in Lecoq and Gaulier theatrical techniques to push circus in a different direction.
